Medical Missionary Work is the right hand of the gospel. It is necessary to the advancement of the cause of God. As through it men and women are led to see the importance of right habits of living, the saving power of the truth will be made known. Every city is to be entered by workers trained to do medical missionary work. As the right hand of the third angel's message, God's methods of treating disease will open doors for the entrance of present truth.--Testimonies, Vol. 7, p. 59.

A. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF COURSE: 

The purpose of this training workshop is to assist each participant in establishing a correct understanding of the principles and methods of true Health Evangelistic work, and its role in helping to prepare the final generation for the second coming of Jesus Christ. Christ stands before us the pattern Man, the great Medical Missionary, an example for all whom should come after.  We are to do the same work that the Great Medical Missionary undertook in our behalf. This workshop is designed to help each person to implement Christ’s method of labor in ministering to the physical, mental and spiritual needs of people that their hearts might be opened to the gospel of Jesus Christ.  

B. OBJECTIVES

• To personally practice health reform principles
• To give instructions in the principles of health and nutrition
• To give instructions in simple natural remedies
• To assist individuals with lifestyle changes for the preservation and restoration of health according to GOD'S PLAN                          

C. DESCRIPTION OF CLASSES

1.Ministry of Healing. -- This class is designed to guide the student through studying the book Ministry of Healing. Thus the student acquires the ability to apply the methods of teaching and ministering to the sick which Christ by His example and precept directed his followers to use for winning souls to God while ministering to the physical needs of mankind. 

 

2. Creator’s Masterpiece – This class is designed to help the student to understand and appreciate the wonderful purpose and function of the Creator’s Masterpiece, the human organism, and the laws upon which its continuing existence is based.

This class will cover the basis of life as found in the cell and how the health of the cell determines the health of the body; how we can preserve the health of each cell to ensure the health of each organ and system.

Principle and Application of God’s Plan – This class is to help the student gain practical knowledge of the Eight Laws of Health as ordained by God as Heaven’s approved method of preserving and restoring health – physically, mentally, and spiritually. These Eight Laws can be listed simply as GOD'S PLAN.

2. Principles of Nutrition – This class points out the connection between the food we eat and our physical and spiritual welfare.

This class leads the student into an understanding of the basic principles of nutrition and its role in the preservation of health.                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

3. Natural  Remedies – This class will instruct the student in the practical methods of preserving health through basic principles involved in the use of hydrotherapy, the judicial use of herbs, and food as your medicine.
